Friday 20 April 2012

Friday already!!

Hello, what a quick week it has been. The weather here has been awful, needless to say we don't have drought problems in Scotland...which is great for my allotment :-)

This weeks theme over at The Glitter Geeks is "Red and White". Next week is St George's day on the 23rd and my hubbys 40th on the 26th, he supports Aberdeen so red and white is appropriate for his birthday too :) We will be spending it up north in Aberdeen :D  Just realised I'm waffling lol. Here is my DT card for the challenge.

Ingredients
Digi image from Octopode Factory coloured with Pro and Flexi markers and a Sakura pen.
Papermania white flowers distressed with Black Soot inkpad.
Tim Holtz ticket, distressed with Limited Edition Festive Berries.
Spotty, red paper, ribbon and buttons from stash.

Hope you like the card :)

I would like to enter it into the following challenges;
Inked Paws - 2 papers, 3 buttons and a ribbon.
Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings - Black, white and one other colour plus ribbon.
Sundays with Crissy - Favourite colours.
Crafty Sentiments - Use a digi.
Digital Tuesday Challenge - Digi and distress.

Hope everyone has a great weekend :D

Thursday 12 April 2012

Titanic Week.

This week commemorates the centenary of the launch and the tragic ending of the maiden voyage of the White Star liners stunning Titanic.

This is reflected in the theme at The Glitter Geeks challenge this week - Nautical.  I opted for a playful image and kept it simple.

Ingredients; Stamp-Lili of the Valley
Card-The Papeterie in Aberdeen
Coloured with Pro and Flexi markers and InkSentials white pen
Bakers Twine from stash.

Even "roped" hubby into making a reef knot for me ;-)

Hope you like the card and join in this week.

Friday 6 April 2012

It's almost Easter...

Which for some of us who have abstained from one or two of our favourite things means the countdown is on until we can indulge. In my case it will be chocolate and sweeties. I am soooo looking forward to a bar of Dairy Milk, a hot choccie with skooshy cream and mini marshmallow and a bag of Haribo to nibble on!! Ahhhhh bliss :D

I've been busy with the allotment so haven't updated my blog as often as I should, though I have still been gathering stash for the rainy days ;)  Last night I sorted out my button box as my new arrivals needed to be put in with their relatives ;)

I also sorted out my Distress Inks as I have added to  my collection and thought I should sort them out :)

I *should* be able to find what I am looking for more easily now ;-)

I have also been busy creating an Easter card for this weeks challenge over at The Glitter Geeks. Here is my DT entry.

Why  not pop over and enter to be in with a chance to win stash? ;)

Have a great Easter weekend whatever you are up to :)
