Anything but a card...

Is the theme for this months challenge over at the Sarah Hurley Challenge Blog. This is totally outside my comfort zone, but I always like to try different things.  So this month I opted to alter a brown paper lunch bag.  I decided to use the amazing Wonderland Digi Kit and used papers and embellishments from this to make an Alice in Wonderland themed bag.  I also used a doily from the beautiful Craft Ephemera Accessory Pack and popped a pre coloured Alice onto it.

Ingredients
Papers, tags, Alice, bingo cards -Wonderland CD
Charms, Distress Ink,bakers twine and bag from stash.

Sarah has just launched her new website and to celebrate we are having a blog hop on Saturday to show off lots of the fabby range, and there are also prizes up for grabs, so pop back on Saturday and take part :D

I would like to enter it into the following challenges;

More than one type of shower.

For a change in Scotland, there is more than one type of shower happening. Yes it is raining, but I am talking about a baby shower.

I was asked to make a card for a baby shower, with neutral colours as the make of baby isn't known yet ;-)

I opted to play on the "shower" part, and used a die and some white pearlescent paper to make fluffy clouds, with cute shapes coming out from under the clouds. I used card candi and stamped on them with a wee alphabet stamp set I have.

I love trying different cards, and I am very pleased with the outcome.

I hope you like this, and that it inspires you to try something different.

Happy Birthday!!!

Is the theme this week over at the Willow Sketchie Challenge blog, and that's a bit of a coincidence as it is my birthday on Saturday :D  This time I followed the sketch and the theme to make my card for the DT.

I used the adorable Butterfly and Daisy digi stamp, and it is an absolute bargain at only £1.  There is still a huge 50% off CDroms and Clear Stamps over at the Willow Design Store and with free P&P what are you waiting for?

I coloured in the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, and had to make the wings sparkly with some Stickles. I opted for a purple colour scheme for a change, and coloured in my white grosgrain ribbon with Promarkers to make it match my card.
